My decision to go Natural, was one of personal choice. I was tired of trying to fit in and ready to embrace my natural beauty. Whether natural or relaxed, your goal should always be #HealthyHair.
My wash routine: (weekly)
Shampoo (this is done with hair in 4 sections)
Conditioner (after I rinse out shampoo)
Deep condition ( after I rinse out conditioner, sit for 20 min or whatever your preference is )
Detangle while conditioner is in hair and put hair in sections. DON’T FORGET TO USE A WIDE TOOTH COMB FOR THIS STEP!! If not, you will end up with more hair in the shower than on your head.
The image above shows my staple products besides the deep conditioner, I use anything.
Shampoo- (shea moisture) Moisture Retention
Conditioner- Pantene cleansing conditioner
Leave in- Giovanni Direct Leave in or Shea Moisture
leave in
Deep Conditioner- the one pictured is Miss Jessie’s super sweet back treatment. This product is way over priced, but it was a gift so I am currently using it.
Moisturize!!!!! (This step is so important, yet so many have issues with it)
I follow the LOC method
L (leave in condition) (mentioned above)
O (oil) seal in the leave in with oil ( coconut, grapeseed, castor, or olive oil )
C (creme) now seal that oil with a cream based moisturizer or butter. I use shea butter or Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie.
This is done on freshly washed hair, if you are doing this on dry hair, keep a spray bottle with water near
by to lightly spritz each section.
Notes
Take care of the ends of your hair, remember that is ths oldest part.
Your hair will tell you what it’s lacking, so pay attention.
Last but not least. Products DO NOT grow your hair, but a consistent regimen will.
