Wu-Tang Records “Wu-Tang Forever” Remix

Drake had the streets talking when a song called “Wu-Tang Forever” from his forthcoming new album, Nothing Was The Same, leaked onto the Internets.

Considering the Wu is known for gritty raps, Drizzy’s love pop rap song didn’t correlate to what just about everyone expected thanks to its title.

However, according to U-God, members of the Wu-Tang Clan have already recorded an officially sanctioned remix to the song, they think. Golden Arms revealed that Drake had reached out to the Shaolin collective to contribute verses to a remix of his song.

According to the 4-Bar Killer, MCs from the Clan dropped verses over the Noah “40” Shebib produced instrumental while they were on tour in Europe this past summer. “They wanted us to remix it and get on there [so] you gon’ probably hear another one with us on it,” U-God told VIBE. “Meth did his verse—we all did our verses. I wrote my rhyme in probably 15, 20 minutes. We were moving so fast we only had about four hours of studio time. If I had some time to really sit down and get juicy with it, I probably could’ve got juicier with it. But I still do a nice one, I still do a real banger.”

Despite Inspectah Deck not being too fond of Drake’s cut and plenty of heads bashing the Toronto rapper’s choice in song titles, U-God appreciated the WTC getting some more shine. “Our fans are some of the hardest fucking critics ever,” said U-God. “You try something new, they get mad at you. I love my fans but we have some real meticulous hard fans… I tell my fans, you gotta let it ride. We want to get together with people and have fun, man. I’m tired of us being looked at like we’re unapproachable or antisocial. My Wu Tang fans need to chill and just let bygones be bygones.”

Regardless what anyone says, Drake is helping to keep hip hop alive. Don’t hate him for creativity, innovation, and daring to Be Bold. Stand Out and Make A Statement.

You should try it sometime!
