Lil Wayne Drops Lawsuit Against Birdman After Being Paid $40 Million

Lil Wayne put up a good fight, and in the end was awarded exactly what he wanted.

It has been confirmed through official legal documents that Lil Wayne has dropped his massive lawsuit against his recording home, Cash Money Records, after being paid a $40 million settlement and granted rights to both Drake & Nicki Minaj.

The suit was dropped on April 6th, suggesting that Lil Wayne and his “daddy” Birdman had reached a settlement out of court that included a large sum of money, and rights to his Young Money artists.

While the case was dismissed, Wayne could re-file if he so desired. Previously, Wayne publicly called out his label for ripping him off of his rightful earnings and blocking the release of Tha Carter V.

The initial lawsuit was filed in January and included personal jabs taken by Wayne, Birdman, and his new “son” Young Thug. We’re glad to see that these two long time friends were able to settle their differences like men.

an’t wait to see what Wayne has for us next.
