Taxstone Indicted on Weapons Charges, Facing 10 Years in Prison

Following his arrest in Texas last month, it has been reported that popular hip hop podcaster Taxstone has been indicted on weapons charges in connection with a deadly shooting at a T.I. concert last may that left Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave wounded and his best friend shot dead.

According to VladTV, a federal grand jury found enough evidence to indict Taxstone on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, and receiving a gun through interstate commerce.

With Taxstone having plead guilty to attempted robbery in 2008, he is prevented from having possession of a firearm of any kind.

However, according to authorities, Taxstone illegally possessed a 9-milimeter Kel-Tec semiautomatic handgun, which was allegedly used at the T.I. concert that killed Troy Ave’s friend and bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter.

Taxstone can face a maximum sentence of 10 years for each of the two charges.
