It has been exactly one year since the murder of NY rapper Chinx, and his mother is speaking out and calling out both Chinx best friend French Montana, and Bad Boy CEO Diddy, for answers involving her son’s brutal murder last May.
The mother of Chinx wants answers from both Puff Daddy and French Montana concerning the murder of her son, which took place just over a year ago.
The rapper’s mother, Queens native Veronica Clinton, is frustrated with the police investigation that hasn’t turned up any suspects for his murder thus far.
During a vigil for the slain rapper this week, Clinton took aim at two of hip-hop’s biggest names for their lack of support after Chinx’s death. “They need to come out and see me,” she said to FOX 5 News’ Lisa Evers and revealed the “they” as “P. Diddy (Puff Daddy) and French (French Montana). “They ain’t said nothing to me since my child been dead. Even when my child was dead they didn’t say nothing to me.”
Clinton believes they know something about her son’s death and told FOX that she felt disrespected by them at his funeral. “I asked French why did y’all do that to my child and he said because he wouldn’t listen. I said you’re not his father, but I am his mother.”
Another shocking revelation came when she told the reporter that she believes Chinx’s death is related to the 2007 murder of fellow Far Rockaway rapper Stack Bundles.
Chinx, whose real name is Lionel Pickens, was gunned down in Queens on May 17, 2015. He left behind a widow and three children. He died just before the release of his debut album “Welcome to JFK.” The rapper’s label eONE announced earlier this week that it plans to drop a posthumous Chinx album in July titled “Legends Never Die.” The first single, “Like This,” was released this week and features singer Chrisette Michele. The tracklist and cover art were also unveiled. The new album will feature appearances from Stack Bundles, Movado and Meet Sims. Chinx rose to fame as a member of French Montana’s Coke Boys crew.
