More commonly people are using activity and sleep trackers to help boost their levels of productivity when it comes to sleep and fitness. Samsung’s new sleep tracker SleepSense does what many of the current sleep trackers on the market do, but the it’s unique touch is that it is not seen. The disk like gadget is attached to the bottom of your mattress and tracks many different details. This includes heart rate, respiratory rates, movement, and more. In addition, it can connect to other Samsung devices through the Samsung Smarthings app to control your appliances like TV’s, air units and more to assist in a better environment for sleep.
It’s as simple as connecting the device to your smartphone, and hopping into bed to rest, or not. The device will calculate what is called a “Sleep score” and give you recommendations on how to improve it through its mobile app. The sleep score is based on 7 elements: total sleep time, sleep efficiency, time it took you to sleep, how many times you were awaken, how many times you got out of bed and the percentage of the time you were in REM and deep sleep. It’s said to have 97% accuracy and will help with better sleep habits. Would you consider such a device to help your sleeping habits? Sound off below.
