Lil Wayne has been under great scrutiny following his recent interview on Nightline where he completely dissed the Black Lives Matter movement on national television.
Wayne has since offered an apology for his anti-black lives matter rant and placed blame on the interviewer for asking questions about his daughter.
According to TMZ, Wayne reportedly said, “When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a hoe, I got agitated. From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses.”
This comes after Wayne completely blasted the BLM movement, saying, “I am a young black rich motherfucker. If that don’t let you know that America understand black motherfuckers matter these days, I don’t know what it is.” He then pointed to the camera and said, “That man white; he filmin’ me. I’m a nigga.” He then threw his arms up in frustration and said, “I don’t know what you mean, man, don’t come at me with that dumb ass shit, ma’am. My life matter.” Then, he looked into the camera, smiled, said, “Especially to my bitches,” and winked.
Wayne is now saying that his harsh commentary on Black Lives Matter came a few minutes after the reporter questioned him about his daughter, but ABC edited that part out.
Wayne tells TMZ, “Apologies to anyone who was offended.”
