“Saturday Night Live” comedian Leslie Jones stood up to online bullies, trolls, and hackers in a powerful “Weekend Update” segment that reminds all who have been victim to internet trolling that no one but you can embarrass and bring you down.
“I have spent decades getting roasted by comedians, black comedians at that,” the “Ghostbusters” actress said. “At a certain point, you stop being embarrassed and start being you ― and I have been me for 49 years because the only person who can hack me is me.”
Her dynamite speech referenced an episode this summer in which hackers stole and publicly posted nude photos of Jones all over the internet. In her sketch, she brushed it off as “nothing.”
“I don’t know if you all know this, but I ain’t shy,” she told SNL’s Collin Jost. “If you want to see Leslie Jones naked, just ask. Just ask!”
