Kylie Jenner attempted to clap back at the backlash she received following some recent modeling pics she uploaded on Instagram that feature the young starlet in a shimmery form of Blackface.
The original photo she uploaded had a caption that read “What I wish I looked like all the time”. Many began to attack the 17-year-old reality TV celeb for what they felt was a blatantly ignorant move on her part.
Other celebs commented on the pics included Zendaya Coleman and Karrueche Tran. Disney Channel star Zendaya was among the original commentators. She initially “liked” the pic” and then said, “Eff it up,” adding the clapping hands sign emoji. After fans began questioning her remark, tweeted, “I didn’t see it like that at first…that’s crazy,” adding “My baaaaadddd.”. Karrueche tweeted Kylie and told her that she is beautiful no matter what, and shouldn’t wish to be anything else.
Following the backlash, the 17-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star edited the caption of her original Instagram post, which she had shared on Saturday afternoon.
“This is a black light and neon lights people,” she said. “Let’s all calm down.”
She also posted later that night a new pic of herself sporting the same look, which appeared to have been taken for a photo shoot, as she gave credit to her beauty team.
