R&B artist Keith Sweat responded positively to Drake’s new song “All Me,” in which the YMCMB rapper called himself the “light-skinned Keith Sweat.”
“I swear y’all just wasting y’all breath, I’m the light-skinned Keith Sweat. I’ma make it last forever.” Rapped Drake
Sweat believes having Drake say his name validates his position in history, and even keeps his name relevant today.
“Out of all the R&B artists that have come out, I think my name has been used the most in Hip Hop songs,” said Sweat in an interview with Complex. “It’s real flattering to know that someone who is on the top of their game will still acknowledge my music and what I’ve done. I’m a big fan of Hip Hop anyways. I’m most definitely a fan of Drake. He’s at the top of his game. You can’t be mad at him. His music is melodic as well as edgy.”
Keith Sweat was so flattered by Drake’s reference that he’s even hoping to work with the rapper.
