Jay Z Goes On #TidalFacts Twitter Rant Against Streaming Competitors [Pics]

Jay Z‘s music- and video-streaming service Tidal has been receiving mixed reviews in a wave of bad press ever since its March launch.

Critics have predicted the failure of the subscription-only service. Highlighting its problems and declaring it a flop well before its gotten a chance to develop as a company and brand.

Many even noticed his friend Kanye West deleting previous tweets in support of the new streaming service. However, despite all the backlash, Hov took to his Twitter to set the record straight, and speak up for his developing company.

Using the hashtag #TidalFacts Jay Z assured his followers that “Tidal is doing just fine” with more than 770,000 subscriptions. “Please give us a chance to grow & get better,” he wrote. Watch the rant below.

Its nice that Jay Z has created a profitable platform for music artists. However, it still comes at a cost to the average consumer.

Are you still willing to pay $10-$20 a month for the Tidal service? Do you think Tidal should offer some things for free like Spotify and Pandora?
