Actress Meryl Streep stole the show with her powerful acceptance speech at the 74th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. The award-winning actress gave a speech centered on diversity and inclusion and took specific aim at President-elect Donald Trump and things he’s said and done in the past.
Streep was honored with the Cecil B. Demille Award and used Donald Trump’s reference about immigration in her speech:
Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners and if we kick them all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.
Following the motivational speech, Trump took to Twitter in the wee hours of the morning to attack the actress whom he referred to as a “Hillary flunky who lost big”.
Many Trump supporters have since taken to Twitter to urge the President-elect to “Stop Tweeting!”.
Hopefully Trump’s own supporters can motivate the President-elect to focus on the job at hand at not on social media.
