Queen Bey gave the BeyHive something to rave about Sunday night as Beyonce opened up the BET Awards with a powerful performance of “Freedom” from her hit album “Lemonade”.

Kendrick Lamar helped Bey bless the stage as they had everyone on their feet during the empowering performance.  With their powerful message about black rights, this was a dynamic way to kick off a night of celebrating Black excellence.

As her backup dancers strutted through the aisles to the sound of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Queen Bey stood perched on the stage in an ankle-deep pool of water while fire erupted behind her.

Watch them make a splash with their epic performance.
